Alexander Hamilton Exhibit

Alexander Hamilton Exhibit Chaska Middle School East will be hosting a Gilder Lehrman: Institute of American History traveling exhibit for the month of October. The exhibit is entitled “Alexander Hamilton: Immigrant, Patriot, Visionary.”  Students (and parents) will have the opportunity view the exhibit, much like visiting a museum. This exhibition examines Hamilton’s central role during the Revolutionary War and Founding period in creating the economic, constitutional, social, journalistic, political, and foreign policy templates for modern America. Student Council News – Homecoming Spirit Weeks

To celebrate the homecoming weeks with both Chaska High School and Chanhassen High School, the students at CMSE will be having spirit weeks the week of October 2nd and October 9th.   Here are the days we will dress up: Wednesday 10/4 – Comfy/PJ Day: wear your comfy clothes or PJs to school! Thursday 10/5 – Twin Day: Dress up like a friend or group of friends – could also be interpreted as MN Twin’s day…. Friday 10/6 – Rivalry Day: Wear your best Chaska or Chan gear! Wednesday 10/11 – Pink Day: October is breast cancer awareness month so at lunches the first week and Monday, Tuesday of this spirit week students will pay $1 to wear pink. For every dollar they donate their name will be into a drawing for a $50 Target gift card.and all proceeds will be donated to breast cancer awareness. District Giving Campaign

The District 112 Foundation is a non-profit organization separate from the school district with an independent board of directors. For the first time in the district’s 112 years, the foundation will sponsor a charitable giving campaign. The foundation’s goals include supporting student activities, reducing students’ economic insecurity, building an alumni association and creating an endowment fund. Residents of Eastern Carver County Schools will be asked to consider supporting the District 112 Foundation in November. Watch your mailboxes for more information on how to support the foundation. Remember, the District 112 Foundation is separate from Eastern Carver County Schools – individuals have a choice whether to give to the foundation. New & Improved Chromebook Insurance

Full coverage for the same low price! Eastern Carver County Schools offers a damage waiver Protection Plan to defray the cost of replacement or repair of district Chromebooks. This is plan is an optional purchase. It covers accidental damage, liquid damage, fire, flood, theft, natural disaster and power surge due to lightning. Theft is covered with a police report. Without the protection plan, families are responsible for the full cost of Chromebook repairs or replacement. Starting this school year, the Protection Plan covers three incidents of repairs or replacement. The cost is $25 for coverage from the date of purchase through the summer of 2018. This protection must be purchased prior to any incident of damage or theft of the Chromebook for 2017-18 school year.
