Join us for a Community Conversation focused on equity, diversity, and inclusion in Eastern Carver County Schools. Families, students, district staff, and community members are welcome to attend: Community Conversation on equity, diversity & inclusion Tuesday, April 16 6:30-8:00 p.m. Clover Ridge Elementary Community engagement and dialogue is critical to ensure that equity in our schools is more than just a concept. We must listen better, understand more, and create school environments that respect all backgrounds and beliefs. Showcase of Talent

Teachers and students are excited to share their learning and appreciation of the arts, at our upcoming Showcase of Talent. Please join us on March 19th from 5:30-8:00 pm. Feel free to stop by or stay for the evening. There will be musical performances as well as displays of student work throughout the building. PTO will be selling food so bring the whole family for a night of fun! Click here for music schedule Also on this night, families will again have the opportunity test drive brand new vehicles for Drive 4UR School Fundraiser! It takes about 10 minutes, and for each test drive, Ford donates $20 to our school! No sales pitch is given or follow up marketing. It’s a fast and easy way to earn money for our school. AP Scoop – History Day

AP Scoop Assistant Principal Gilbert History Day If you are an 8th grade parent, I am sure that you having been hearing about History Day from your son or daughter.  National History Day is a non-profit organization, based out of Maryland, which facilitates academic programs that engage middle and high school students in conducting original research based on historical topics of interest.  This program began in 1974 and encourages kids to engage in history along with learning how to use a variety of research techniques.  More than 500,000 students around the world enter these projects at the local level. Chaska Middle School East has been affiliated with History Day for over 10 years.   This past week, our staff and some volunteers were trained to judge the exhibits to recommend what projects would advance to the regional competition.  Students had to demonstrate their knowledge and passion on the topic by creating either an exhibit board, website, documentary, or performance. ...
