Ellis Island Experience @ Pioneer Ridge Middle School
Jan 26 @ 9:15 am – 12:00 pm

On Friday, January 26th, the halls of Pioneer Middle School will be magically transformed into the halls of Ellis Island, 1907. Our sixth grade students will make their way through a series of inspectors, interviewers, and doctors trying to gain entrance into the land of opportunity–America.

We have an opportunity and a need for volunteers to help make this event a great experience for students!  Please sign up here if you are interested in sharing the experience with the kids and assisting teachers in the process.

Feb 24 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

FREE FAMILY FUN!!!

Hooked on Books…and the Arts, too! is a community-wide celebration in support of literacy and the arts. The event has been an on-going partnership between Eastern Carver County Community Education and the Carver County Library system.

Hooked on Books…and the Arts, too! is planning its 13th year of programming! The event integrates literacy and the arts in an imaginative and innovative way. Memories are made for the participants, especially preschool through fifth grade students and their families. Heroes are made out of authors, illustrators, dancers, musicians, and artists, and inspiration takes place along the way. 2018 featured author is Douglas Wood.
